Workshop demonstrates model-based risk management for manufacturingAugsburg, 28.08.2018 The pressure on medium-sized manufacturing companies is growing: customer requirements are becoming more and more individual, and products must be delivered just-in-time. In a tough competitive environment, every scrap in production means huge costs and lost time. gbo datacomp, one of the leading experts for comprehensive MES solutions, has developed a risk management system that not only predicts incorrect productions, but also recommends measures to avoid them. At the MES workshop on September 27, 2018, gbo datacomp will present innovative Industry 4.0 quality management for medium-sized manufacturing companies. Together with renowned institutions such as the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT and RWTH Aachen University, gbo datacomp has developed a model-based risk management system in the Quadrika research project, which is an integral part of the GBO solution BiSoftMes is. At the workshop, gbo datacomp will present how BiSoftMES collects data in real time and evaluates it for risk management. With a smart MES PC terminal, action instructions are visualized for the worker directly in production to avoid incorrect productions. Based on MES, the quality and risk data can be used as needed for product and process optimization in various areas of the company: from production to technical development to management. MES quality management is thus further proof of the performance of gbo datacomp's modular MES solutions, with which manufacturing companies successfully implement the goals of Industry 4.0 step by step. “BiSoftMES gives medium-sized manufacturing companies the necessary transparency to increase the efficiency of their production without having to invest in new machines and tools,” explains Michael Möller, managing director of gbo datacomp. “MES quality management is another building block on the road to a smart factory. ”
