The Asian market is taking off noticeably and the first software projects are pending. gbo datacomp is prepared and relies on remote introductions and updates of the in-house manufacturing execution system through to user training. Augsburg, 23.02.23 “After our international customers stopped their projects on the Asian market in recent years, things are starting again,” begins Michael Möller, managing director of gbo datacomp. In China and Japan in particular, everything has been very slow in the last two years. The plants were temporarily shut down or disconnected from production sites in Europe. This also applied to support and update activities. Now, these plants in Asia — particularly in China and Japan — are picking up steam again. “This requires up-to-date software and orders appropriate updates,” explains Möller. That is the reason why gbo datacomp has had many plants in China and Japan in recent weeks BiSoftMes 10 equipped, remote, of course. Such remote introductions and updates are now part of daily business and have become almost normal in recent years. Now, consistent international communication across all plants is to be restored and this requires current software versions. Communication still poses a particular challenge in an international context. “On the Asian market, time differences and completely different communication patterns must be taken into account,” explains Möller. But people have also become accustomed to this by now. Sufficient arrangements in advance and the The flexibility of our team makes it easier to “go live”. “Since these are mostly updates and enhancements and not a complete new introduction, many functions are already known,” adds Möller. Therefore, extensive agreements are just as unnecessary as comprehensive online training. “We have learned a great deal in recent years and can only say: International implementations have become much easier for us as a result of experience,” concludes the managing director, who already has the next requests for further updates on the table in Asia, because there, too, people are increasingly looking for solutions that increase manufacturing efficiency.Photo caption: Remote BiSoftMES — Online updates on the Asian market (shutterstock_258726044)
