After a successful search for applicants on Jobs for Future and in the regional media, gbo datacomp goes online with a new career page. Augsburg, 16.04.2019 At gbo datacomp, they are more than satisfied with the number of new employment contracts that they have been able to sign since the beginning of 2019. And some working students are also on the payroll. In particular, taking part in Jobs for Future in Mannheim for the first time inspired the entire team to be properly positioned. Then extensive coverage in the regional media, which is so important for the Rimbach based company, and interesting applicants from the surrounding area were just around the corner. “For us, that means we're on the right track. We are stepping up our regional search and sticking to what we can do: honest software projects,” says managing director Michael Möller. And this is exactly what gbo datacomp shows on the recently revised career page. “We cannot and do not want to keep up with large companies. This applies both to the number of job offers and to the online applicant portals. That doesn't suit us. We are a small but finer MES specialist, which is looking for and hiring around 5-10 new employees every year. Any online applicant portal would be oversized,” explains Möller. That is why the career page has now been redesigned in such a way that we position ourselves better and reach our target group better. This is especially true for mobile view. “Young people in the IT sector in particular take a quick look while on the go and get in touch directly. We want to get a bit better here,” says the MES expert about the slight revisions to the career page. In the three-sided region, it is not so easy for the software provider from Rimbach to find employees. And that is not only due to the rural location on the edge of the Odenwald. The various educational offerings are a major challenge, especially in the area of education. The region's environment with a key IT player on the doorstep in Mannheim doesn't exactly make it any easier to be able to collect applications at all. “However, when we talk to interested parties, they are immediately impressed by the prospects that a medium-sized company also offers in Odenwald, or rather in Odenwald in particular,” says Möller with a smile. And now it is interesting to see whether the improved offer will also result in more applications.Photo caption: The redesigned career page
