A fully staffed house, lively discussions about digitization in SMEs: HKR Roding, a long-standing customer of gbo datacomp, said on 9.5.2023 “Open doors, come in, we invite you to a factory tour.” The joint event by gbo datacomp and the SME Digital Center Augsburg of the VDMA was a resounding success. Augsburg, 23.05.23 With HKR Roding, the expert for turned, milled and forged parts, was all about digitization in production. “Interesting discussions, an informative exchange, it was fun,” says Michael Möller, managing director of gbo datacomp. “There were many questions about “digitization in SMEs,” to which gbo datacomp is making an important contribution and has been doing so for years,” emphasizes Möller.After HKR managing director Michel Rahn completed his presentation of the HKR, there was insight into and inspiration from science. that Fraunhofer IGCV reported on the influence of AI, which is currently largely supporting production, e.g. through image recognition. The subsequent guided tour illustrated the content of the presentations and explained the benefits of BiSoftMES in the plant itself. Michel Rahn and Michael Möller took turns explaining what exactly was being implemented and how digitization can benefit everyone in medium-sized manufacturing environments. At HKR, for example, this meant digitizing the shop floor, from recording machine data and order management in conjunction with SAP to key figures and current shop floor information. In the final discussion, Rahn and Möller gave an outlook on the next digitization steps in manufacturing and thus led over to the discussion with the guests. “As MES experts We know what is important and can help our customers implement digitization in such a way that it fits and offers the greatest possible benefit,” explains Möller, who is already looking forward to the next joint event, because personal discussions create closeness and ensure mutual understanding.Photo caption: Michael Möller reports on the successful project
