New customers, new projects: gbo datacomp with excellent incoming orders for 2018Augsburg, 25.1.2018 After strong growth in the past year, it's time to get started at gbo datacomp in 2018: The order books of the leading expert for comprehensive MES solutions have been filled and the workforce is being consistently expanded. New functions expand the performance of gbo datacomp BiSoftMes products. The partnership on the Quadrika research project is also bearing fruit. “We can look back on a successful year 2017 with many new customers and projects,” says Michael Möller, managing director of gbo datacomp, with a positive conclusion. This results in excellent incoming orders for 2018, to which the full-service provider from Augsburg is responding by expanding its workforce — with a focus on expanding its consulting and research and development areas. Experienced specialists for customer service and product development strengthen the GBO team. “We can now draw on larger resources to provide our customers with even more comprehensive advice and to be able to implement their requirements even faster and more flexibly,” says gbo datacomp managing director Möller.More and more companies rely on the digitization of work and production processes. They are looking for experienced partners who, like gbo datacomp, will join them on the path to Industry 4.0 — step by step. For example, MES experts are launching their first projects in the area of “Internet of Things (IoT)” in 2018, which involve the networking and communication of physical and virtual objects. In addition, gbo datacomp will present new milestones for its MES solutions this year. These include functions for mobile applications and integration as well as new tools for the OPC, OPC UA and MTConnect interface standards. “Only a few companies can offer practical tools for all three standards,” adds Möller. The Augsburg-based company is also contributing their comprehensive know-how to the Quadrika research project to develop risk management in production. Here, gbo datacomp is working with, among others, the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and the Machine Tool Laboratory of the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen. Quadrika will start field testing in 2018. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. “Digitalization is penetrating ever deeper into the processes of manufacturing companies,” says gbo datacomp CEO Möller. He and his team offer suitable solutions, know-how and experience from many successfully implemented projects. “There are exciting tasks ahead of us,” says Möller, looking forward to 2018.
